We go over the stats,. Heyo, decided to respec my character before going into ng+ and wanted to use the dragonslayer spear as my primary weapon. I'm currently sl 133, but i could probably get that number higher by burning some boss/solid souls, my base class was knight, and i have access to quite a bit of titanite if you recommend a specific.
Hell yeah, it has 360 degree hitbox! The 2h strong attack is just like other spears, only it launches a lightning bolt. If you hit at close range it deals the damage of the projectile and the physical damage at once which can deal ridiculous damage.
This is dark souls 2 now. If by balance you mean nerf the mlgs into the ground then yeah i agree. If movement, rolling, and toggle escaping were in the same as dark souls 1 then the mlgs wouldn't be overpowered, but it is because of the slowness of the game.
And the dragonslayer spear was top tier in dark souls 1 pvp. Heide feels better for pve, because ds's special attack is not really useful there. But ds is probably the longest spear in the entire game, special attack is great for pvp, overall damage with 40/40 dex/faith is decent and you can get full damage bonus from flynn+rob and sacred oath.

Lately i have been using the dragonslayer spear a lot in pvp and pve. And i always liked that weapon a lot cosmeticaly so im using it a lot lately and love every minute of it. But now im wondering how i would best enhance what i have even more to better handle the stuff.
